Annalise's Newsletter - May 2007

Hey there my beautifuls,

I hope this finds you well and smiling.

So Fashion Week is over for another year, and what a week it has been! So many fabulous parades and events, but let me tell you, the prospect of doing nothing other than schnuggling up on the couch with my man in my trackies has never felt so appealing…

My highlights of the week:

Deta Von Teese’s burlesque performance on Monday night at the MCA; she started off in a stunning pale pink Swarofsky crystal coy boy outfit, a corset (with a 16 inch waist mind you!!) chaps, coy boy hat, guns and holster, and Christian Louboutin shoes…. She slowly stripped, till she was wearing only a sprinkling of strategically placed crystals covering her nipples and little knickers, riding a giant MAC Viva Glam lipstick as if it was a mechanical bull… it was nothing short of incredible! That girl is HOT!

Alex Perry’s parade on Monday night was absolutely stunning. His signature style of super sexy glamorous frocks certainly did not disappoint.

Miranda Kerr opened and closed the show looking more beautiful than ever, it was breathtaking. The guy is a genius.

Alex Zabotto Bently rocked the place with his Fashion Assassin parade on Tuesday night, retro dirty disco beats with hot diverse models, some slim, some voluptuous, skinny, black, white… The vibe was electric, the clothes funky, fun and fabulous (and wearable!)

Will and Toby’s opening on Tuesday night (for friends) and Wednesday night after Jessica Alba’s film premiere at Fox Studios.

The guys have done it again! They have created a super stylish, sophisticated, and unique venue for Sydney. The décor is wonderfully retro, late 50’s and early 60’s, incredible wood paneling and funky furniture, every detail is just divine! The drinks are dangerously delicious too. And yes, Jessica is just as pretty in real life, don’t you just hate that! Ha

I am happy to say I landed my first lead role in a feature film titled King of the Mountain, a film about the legendary Australian racing car driver Peter Brock.

I’m playing an American girl called Samantha, so I’m currently taking American accent lessons which is a right hoot.

We are scheduled to start shooting in November, I can’t wait….

I recently shot another series of Pizza, it was great to play Claudia McPherson again after almost three years off set. The boys are as fun and mad as ever, I’ll let you know when it airs…

I’m currently working on a very fun and exciting project that I will hopefully be able to share with you in my next newsletter too.

Till then, take care and keep smiling! Annalise xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
